It's all very well arsing around with new tire sizes in North America or Europe. The reality is in the rest of the biking world it's hard to get 26 inch tubes and tires over 2.1 wide, so new fandangled wheel sizes are never really gonna be anything more than a fad. Imagine the horror when if a tire gets torn on holiday somewhere less developed and, local shops can't supply because the locals are all quite happy enough with their 26ers.
Sorry all these wheel sizes are just 'grass is greener' nonsense, and actually not even practical.
I'm sick of all these new wheel size advocators, detractors, journalists and advertising. Let pros use the size wheel they like and may the best size win!
Love the street stuff, not really into the indoor thing. The reverse endos are so long, sick!
To be fair they were all on fairly short travel bikes.
I saw this problem free in China, the streaming was fine for me smoother than last year. Coverage was pretty good but I wish they had included a few more earlier riders and the middle section. It would be great if there was a downloadable .avi version after the event too.
Surely not, Tektro are at best like avid BB5. Except that if you take any Tektro down a hill more than 200 meters it will fade until you have no braking at all! Elixir 5 are much better, although sometimes disappointingly you need to bleed them twice from new to get the best from them.
I'm totally SRAM drive-train and Shimano brakes these days.
Huh? Alvio suck balls, I'd rather use X4.
It's easy. Everyone that rides mountain bikes switch to 2-stroke dirt bikes. That way you can't possibly be stopped, as you'll be too quick. Also the hideous noise, smoke and erosion you cause will have the authorities begging for people to ride mountain bikes again!
I have used a pair of Giro Xen gloves from last year, they disintegrated too. What was worse was that by the 3rd ride they became baggy and useless, a good grip and bare hands would be better.
Using my digital guage using both Kenda and Cheng-shin tubes I can honestly say that Schrader vvalves hold their air better, of course other manufactuers' products may vary.
A few years ago Presta were only for road bikes or XC, now many bikes came with Presta, I have no understanding about the reasons for the change, especially as I consider Schrader marginally better and more convenient.
Psy, I'll leave converting to tubeless to a tubeless ready rim and tire anyway, tubeless conversions are available in schrader, and are actually easier as you can remove the valave core to get more air in.
Honestly Schrader valves hold their air better and are more robust than Presta valves on wheels. Luckily you can 'drill' your Presta valve rims with any pointy piece of metal which isn't cheap aluminum.it's only a few mms. About Us
